JOB PURPOSE:
To safely, efficiently, and remotely control and monitor the operation of the WHR Steam Turbine, Generator, and Waste Heat Boilers (SP & AQC) via the Distributed Control System (DCS). The primary objective is to maximize green power generation from exhaust gases while ensuring that any fluctuation in steam parameters does not negatively impact the cement kiln production stability.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute safe start-up, synchronization, load adjustment, and shut-down sequences.
- Monitor and balance exhaust gas temperatures, pressures, and flow rates.
- Maintain critical parameters including boiler drum water levels and steam pressure.
- Prevent water carryover and protect turbine blades from thermal shocks.
- Respond instantly to Kiln trips, cooler upsets, or turbine trips.
- Activate bypass dampers and dump steam safely during emergency situations.
- Maintain real-time communication with the Cement Kiln CRO for process sync.
- Record shift logs, track key performance indicators, and report deviations.
KEY COMPETENCIES:

- Effective Communication: Clear verbal coordination with Kiln and field teams.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to diagnose thermodynamics and process deviations.
- Technical Troubleshooting: In-depth understanding of steam water cycles.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 8 to10 years as a CRO in steam power plants (5 years in Cement WHR).
- Computer Skills: High proficiency in (DCS) and MS Office.
- Language Skills: Good to Fluent in English for technical manuals and DCS alarms.
