POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Coordinator will act as the central communication and execution bridge between customers, service engineers, project teams, vendors, and management. The role ensures timely service delivery, coordination of commissioning and maintenance activities, and systematic documentation and reporting for automation, instrumentation, robotics, and panel-based industrial projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Service Planning and Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate installation, commissioning, and service visits for automation and instrumentation projects.
- Allocate field engineers based on project priority, location, and technical competency.
- Track service schedules, preventive maintenance calendars, and warranty obligations.
- Monitor service execution progress and ensure adherence to customer timelines.
2. Customer Communication and Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for service-related customer queries.
- Coordinate technical discussions between customers and internal engineering teams.
- Maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring timely service response.
- Track customer complaints and ensure proper resolution and closure.
3. Project and Field Team Coordination
- Support commissioning teams by coordinating travel arrangements, site readiness confirmations, documentation, and drawings availability.
- Coordinate material dispatch and spare tracking.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, PLC, robotics, and SCADA teams for integrated project execution.
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain service reports, commissioning reports, and service history records.
- Track open service calls and prepare weekly and monthly service status reports.
- Maintain AMC and warranty records.
- Ensure proper document control including GA drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, manuals, datasheets, and commissioning checklists.
5. Spare and Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with purchase and stores departments for spare part availability.
- Track service consumables and maintain inventory status.
- Monitor dispatch and material readiness for site service activities.
6. Vendor and Partner Coordination
- Coordinate with OEM partners such as automation, drive, robotics, and instrumentation suppliers.
- Track vendor support visits and escalation management.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and third-party service vendors when required.
7. Service Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain service tracking systems.
- Support implementation of digital tools like service dashboards, CRM tools, MES or job tracking software, and remote monitoring systems.
- Maintain service KPI tracking including response time, resolution time, and customer satisfaction.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPOSURE:
Candidates should preferably have exposure to industrial automation systems, PLC/SCADA/HMI systems, industrial instrumentation, electrical control panels and MCCs, robotics and motion control systems, and preventive maintenance concepts.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with automation exposure.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
