Job Summary
The Kafka Technical Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka. This role combines deep technical expertise in event streaming with architecture, design, and delivery ownership across enterprise-scale critical applications.
Technical Skills
Strong experience with Apache Kafka managed by Strimzi (core concepts + operations)
Expertise in:
Producers, consumers, consumer groups
Kafka Streams
Kafka Connect
Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Build resilient and reliable infrastructure for Kafka by managing the Life cycle of infrastructure
Knowledge of:
Event-driven architecture (EDA)
Distributed systems and data streaming
Schema Registry (Avro/Protobuf/JSON)
REST, microservices architecture
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, test, and deploy high-quality code using spring boot and kafka technologies.
2. Design and implement efficient and reusable software modules.
3. Collaborate within team to define, and ship new features.
4. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
5. Ensure code quality, performance, and security best practices are followed.
6. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Skill Requirements
1. Proficiency in spring boot framework for developing java based applications.
2. Experience working with apache kafka for building real-time data processing applications.
3. Strong understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation using spring boot.
4. Knowledge of restful web services and api development.
5. Familiarity with ci/cd pipelines and devops practices.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, collaborative team environment.
7. Good problem-solving and communication skills.
8. Attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
