Social Media Marketing Intern — Job Description

About the Role
We're looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our marketing team. You'll help plan, create, and publish content across our social channels while learning how a real marketing team builds brand presence and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and scheduling content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Facebook
- Draft engaging captions, hashtags, and post copy aligned with brand voice
- Support the design of graphics, short-form videos, and reels using tools like Canva or CapCut
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions; assist with community engagement
- Track and report on key metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth) using analytics tools
- Research trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to inform content strategy
- Collaborate with the marketing/design team on campaigns and content calendars
- Assist with influencer or user-generated content outreach (if applicable)
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and current trends
- Excellent written communication skills
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, etc. a plus)
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks/deadlines
- Prior experience running a personal or organizational social account is a bonus
