Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to manage production activities during the assigned shift in a plastic injection moulding manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, managing manpower, maintaining quality standards, reducing downtime and ensuring smooth shift operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor shift-wise production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the daily production plan.
- Handle and supervise production manpower during the shift.
- Monitor plastic injection moulding machines and production processes.
- Ensure proper machine settings, material availability and smooth production flow.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality and Store departments for uninterrupted production.
- Monitor machine breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance for quick resolution.
- Ensure production is carried out according to quality standards and work instructions.
- Monitor rejection, rework, wastage and material consumption.
- Maintain production records, shift reports and machine-related documentation.
- Conduct proper shift handover and communicate pending issues to the next shift.
- Ensure proper use of raw materials, consumables and manpower.
- Follow 5S, safety, TPM and production procedures.
- Identify production losses and take corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Monitor machine utilization and minimize production downtime.
- Ensure discipline, safety and housekeeping within the production area.
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in Production / Shift Supervision.
- Experience in Plastic Injection Moulding is preferred.
- Good knowledge of injection moulding production processes.
- Experience in manpower handling and shift management.
- Knowledge of production planning and target achievement.
- Knowledge of rejection, rework, wastage and productivity monitoring.
- Basic knowledge of machine troubleshooting and coordination with Maintenance.
- Knowledge of 5S, TPM and safety practices.
- Good communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma / Graduate / Engineering qualification with relevant experience in production.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates having experience in plastic injection moulding production, machine operation, manpower handling, production reporting and shift management will be preferred.
Salary
₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and technical skills.
