Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Energy Inbound Sales Specialist to handle inbound enquiries from customers in the Australian energy market. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding customer needs, recommending suitable electricity and gas plans, driving sales conversions, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer enquiries related to electricity and gas services in the Australian market and understand customer requirements and recommend suitable energy plans and solutions.
- Convert inbound enquiries into successful sales while consistently achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Clearly explain energy plans, pricing structures, contract terms, benefits, and
- promotional offers.
- Ensure all sales conversations are conducted in accordance with Australian energy industry regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical selling practices.
- Obtain and record customer consent where required and provide all mandatory disclosures during the sales process.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell relevant energy products and services and deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Handle customer queries, concerns, and objections professionally and effectively.
- Adhere to Australian Energy Regulator (AER) guidelines, company policies, and campaign-specific compliance requirements.
- Follow approved sales scripts, verification processes, disclosure requirements, and quality standards.
- Ensure all customer interactions are transparent, accurate, and compliant with regulatory obligations and maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems in a timely manner.
- Participate in call monitoring, compliance audits, coaching sessions, and quality reviews.
- Promptly identify and report any compliance risks, customer complaints, or process breaches. Maintain high standards of professionalism, data privacy, and customer confidentiality.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales and performance targets.
- Maintain productivity, call quality, and adherence standards.
- Keep accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with Team Leaders and Management to achieve campaign goals and business objectives.
- Actively participate in training sessions, compliance refreshers, and performance improvement initiatives.
Pre-Requisites
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Inbound Sales, Energy Sales, Telecom Sales, Utilities, or BPO Sales.
