Job Summary
Responsible for preparing and updating the Daily Status Report (DSR) for import and export shipments, coordinating with customers, shipping lines, transporters, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely cargo movement and accurate shipment tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update Daily Status Reports (DSR) for all shipments.
- Track import and export shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, transporters, and customs brokers.
- Communicate shipment updates, delays, ETA, and delivery schedules to customers.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as:
- Bill of Lading (BL)
- Packing List
- Delivery Order (DO)
- Follow up on customs clearance and cargo release.
- Maintain accurate shipment records in ERP or logistics software.
- Generate MIS reports and submit daily operational reports to management.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of import/export documentation.
- Understanding of sea freight, air freight, LCL, and FCL operations.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree (B. Com, BBA, BA, or equivalent).
- 1–3 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics (freshers may be considered for junior roles).
