Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Intellectual Property (IP):
- Handle trademark and copyright registration, renewal, and opposition processes
- Conduct trademark searches and clearance for product/brand names
- Coordinate with regulatory and marketing teams to ensure brand protection
- Monitor and act on IP infringements, especially in pharma products
2. Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
- Manage litigation matters including civil, commercial, and regulatory cases
- Liaise with external counsel and provide necessary documentation
- Draft legal notices, replies, affidavits, and case summaries
- Track ongoing cases and ensure timely updates and compliance
3. Industrial Relations (IR) & Employee Legal Issues:
- Address legal matters related to field force (MRs, sales staff) and other employees
- Draft show-cause notices, disciplinary actions, and termination letters
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and company HR policies
- Support HR in resolving disputes and handling labour authorities
4. Legal Notices & Risk Management:
- Draft, review, and respond to legal notices and claims
- Provide risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Maintain proper documentation of all legal communications
5. Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements such as:
o Third-Party / Contract Manufacturing Agreements (loan license, P2P manufacturing)
o Real Estate Agreements (leases, warehouses, plant locations)
o Distribution, C&F, and vendor agreements
- Ensure contracts align with pharma regulatory requirements and company policies
6. Regulatory & Compliance (Pharma Specific):
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws such as Drugs & Cosmetics Act, labeling, and
marketing regulations
- Support regulatory team on legal aspects of product approvals and documentation
- Monitor changes in pharma laws and advise internal stakeholders
- Assist in audits, inspections, and compliance reporting
7. Advisory Role:
- Provide legal guidance to internal departments including regulatory, HR, sales, and
procurement
- Support business decisions with sound legal advice
- Promote legal awareness and compliance culture within the organization
Required Qualifications:
- BCOM having similar kind of experience or LL.B
- 2–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of IP laws, labor laws, contract law, and pharma regulations
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences companies
- Exposure to contract manufacturing and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
