Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of EOT cranes, gantry cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.
- Inspect and repair mechanical components such as gearboxes, brakes, wire ropes, hooks, bearings, couplings, wheels, and shafts.
- Conduct lubrication and routine servicing of crane mechanisms.
- Identify faults and carry out corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Replace damaged or worn-out components and ensure proper alignment and assembly.
- Coordinate with electrical maintenance personnel for troubleshooting crane issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and spare parts consumption details.
- Participate in crane load testing and periodic inspections.
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow all EHS guidelines.
Qualification
- ITI Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification in crane maintenance or rigging is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in maintenance of EOT cranes, gantry cranes, hoists, or heavy industrial equipment.
- Experience in steel plants, manufacturing units, power plants, or heavy engineering industries is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of crane mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Awareness of safety procedures and statutory requirements.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts as per plant requirements.
- Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments.
- Availability for emergency breakdown maintenance when required.
Preferred Industry: Steel, Engineering, Manufacturing, Cement, Power, or Heavy Industrial Plants.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
