Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize VMC machining programs for Tool & Die components.
- Program and operate VMC machines equipped with Mitsubishi Controllers.
- Generate machining programs using SolidCAM software.
- Set up tools, fixtures, work offsets, and machining parameters for production.
- Manufacture precision Tool & Die components as per engineering drawings.
- Select suitable cutting tools and optimize machining cycles for improved productivity.
- Perform prove-out of new programs and make necessary program modifications.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain required quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues on the shop floor.
- Coordinate with the Design, Production, and Quality teams for smooth execution.
- Follow TPM, 5S, and safety standards within the machining area.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience as a VMC Programmer in the Tool & Die industry.
- Hands-on experience with Mitsubishi Controller programming.
- Strong working knowledge of SolidCAM.
- Experience in programming and machining on EYE VMC Machines.
- Excellent understanding of Tool & Die manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, fixtures, and workholding techniques.
- Ability to optimize machining cycle time while maintaining high quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience in precision machining, moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling components.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team.
