Reporting To: Head – Accounts & Finance
To support the Finance function by managing project accounting, administrative accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, treasury, working capital, and internal controls. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting of project costs and revenues, monitoring project profitability, supporting commercial decision-making, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

Supervise Accounts Executives and maintain accurate accounting records for Head Office (HO) transactions and all ongoing/completed projects.

Monitor HO budgets, project-wise budgets, actual costs, and profitability.

Review project cost allocations and track material, subcontractor, labour, logistics, overhead, and other indirect expenses.

Prepare HO and project cost reports highlighting cost overruns, savings, and financial risks.

Review Work-in-Progress (WIP) and coordinate with Project Managers on forecasts.

Ensure accurate and timely closure of books of accounts.

Review reconciliations of ledgers, bank accounts, and inter-company balances.

Account for revenue based on contractual milestones and applicable accounting standards.

Review contracts for payment milestones, retentions, variation orders, liquidated damages, contract assets/liabilities, and provisions.

Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.

Prepare profitability reports, dashboards, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses for projects and HO operations.

Assist in preparing MIS reports and financial summaries for management.

Monitor milestone-based billing, receivables, advances, retentions, and collections.

Follow up on outstanding payments and support working capital management.

Review project vendor invoices, subcontractor bills, reconciliations, and payment processing.

Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.

Prepare project cash flow forecasts.

Manage banking requirements, including Bank Guarantees (BGs), Performance Bank Guarantees (PBGs), Letters of Credit (LCs), and related documentation.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, MIS reports, and project variance analyses.

Support management with financial planning and performance tracking.

Ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliances.

Monitor compliance with the Companies Act, Income Tax regulations, and other applicable laws.

Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities on compliance matters.

Develop and implement SOPs.

Strengthen internal controls and governance processes.

Support ERP enhancements, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with Project, Commercial, Procurement, and Management teams.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support commercial and operational decision-making.

CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com
-
7–10 years of experience in EPC, Engineering, Infrastructure, Water Treatment, Irrigation, Construction, or other project-based industries.

Experience working with ERP systems is essential.
