*Key responsibilities* - *Production planning*: Convert demand forecasts into daily/weekly production schedules. Ensure targets are met on time - *Process optimization*: Analyze bottlenecks, cycle times, waste. Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen projects to improve OEE and throughput - *Quality control*: Work with QA to reduce defects, implement SPC, handle customer complaints/8D reports - *Equipment + maintenance*: Coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance, minimize MTTR, maximize MTBF - *Cost control*: Track material usage, labor efficiency, energy costs. Suggest cost-saving projects - *Team leadership*: Guide production engineers, supervisors, and operators. Train staff on SOPs and safety - *Safety + compliance*: Enforce EHS rules, 5S, ISO standards. Lead safety audits and incident investigations - *Reporting*: Share daily/weekly/monthly KPIs with management: yield, efficiency, scrap %, downtime *Skills needed* - 6-10+ yrs in manufacturing/production. Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engg preferred - Strong in MES, ERP, AutoCAD, Excel, data analysis - Root cause analysis, FMEA, DOE knowledge - Leadership, communication, and decision-making under pressure
