Job Summary:
The PDI Technician is responsible for carrying out detailed inspections and basic servicing of vehicles before delivery to customers, ensuring that each vehicle is in perfect condition as per company and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) on new vehicles as per checklist
Inspect vehicle components including:
Engine and mechanical systems
Electrical systems (lights, battery, wiring, infotainment)
Brakes, suspension, and tyres
Interior and exterior condition
Identify and report any defects, damages, or missing parts
Carry out minor repairs, adjustments, and fitments (accessories, number plates, etc.)
Ensure vehicles are properly cleaned and ready for delivery
Coordinate with the service team for major repairs if required
Maintain proper PDI checklists and documentation
Ensure tools and equipment are used and maintained properly
Follow safety procedures and workshop standards
Skills & Requirements:
Basic knowledge of automobile systems and diagnostics
Ability to identify defects and perform minor repairs
Attention to detail
Teamwork and coordination skills
Basic understanding of tools and equipment
Qualification:
ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
min 2 years of experience in automobile service/PDI (freshers may also be considered)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Accuracy of inspections
Number of vehicles inspected per day
Reduction in delivery complaints
Timely completion of PDI
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
