Dholakia Foundation is the philanthropic and CSR arm of Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., India's leading diamond manufacturer and exporter, founded by Shri Savjibhai Dholakia. Established in 1996, the Foundation has impacted 5 lakh+ lives, planted 3.7 million+ trees, and developed 165+ water bodies across Gujarat and India.
The Foundation actively works towards all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a special focus on SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 15 (Life on Land). Key flagship initiatives include Mission 102030, Mission River, and Mission 100 Sarovar.
Role Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic, mission-driven professional to join Dholakia Foundation as Manager - CSR Partnerships & Resource Mobilisation. This role is the bridge between our foundation and the broader ecosystem of corporate CSR departments, government agencies, NGO networks, and international organisations. The incumbent will proactively identify, approach, and onboard partners who can contribute funds, machinery, equipment, expertise, or collaborative programme support to advance the foundation's environmental and social mission.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnership Development & Outreach
- Identify and approach companies across Gujarat and India whose CSR mandates align with the Foundation's focus areas (water conservation, environment, education, health, and rural livelihood).
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of corporate CSR partners willing to co-fund or contribute to the Foundation's ongoing projects.
- Develop formal MoUs, partnership agreements, and collaboration frameworks with corporate, government, and institutional partners.
- Represent Dholakia Foundation at industry conferences, CSR summits, government forums, and networking events.
2. Resource Mobilisation (Funds & In-Kind)
- Secure financial contributions, CSR grants, and in-kind support (excavators, machinery, saplings, equipment, vehicles, etc.) from corporate and institutional donors.
- Develop compelling funding proposals, project decks, and impact reports tailored to donor requirements.
- Track national and state-level CSR mandates and ensure timely outreach to eligible companies under the Companies Act, 2013 (Section 135).
- Maintain a donor CRM with a detailed record of pitches, commitments, follow-ups, and fulfilment status.
3. Government & Institutional Liaison
- Liaise with district collectors, state government departments (Forest, Water Resources, Agriculture), and panchayats to align Foundation projects with government schemes.
- Identify convergence opportunities with government programs such as MGNREGS, Jal Jeevan Mission, CAMPA funds, and other environment-related schemes.
- Build relationships with UN agencies, international NGOs, and bilateral development organisations for programme partnerships.
4. Proposal Writing & Reporting
- Draft project proposals, concept notes, and Letters of Intent (LoIs) for prospective donors and government departments.
- Prepare quarterly and annual impact reports for existing partners demonstrating outcomes against committed milestones.
- Support the Foundation in obtaining accreditations, certifications, and recognition from national and international bodies (e.g., GuideStar, UN partnerships, Responsible Jewellery Council).
5. Programme Coordination Support
- Coordinate with internal field teams to ensure project deliverables are met as per partner expectations and timelines.
- Facilitate site visits for corporate partners and donors to witness on-ground impact.
- Maintain strong post-partnership engagement to encourage renewals and scale-ups.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), MBA (Rural Management / Sustainability / Non-profit Management), Environmental Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in CSR partnerships, fundraising, NGO programme management, or business development within the development sector.
- Demonstrated success in securing CSR funds or in-kind contributions from corporate partners.
- Strong understanding of India's CSR landscape, Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013, and reporting norms (GRI, BRSR, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
- Strong proposal writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred / Advantageous
- Prior experience working with foundations, trusts, or CSR departments in the textile, diamond, chemicals, FMCG, or infrastructure sectors.
- Network of contacts in the corporate CSR community in Surat, Ahmedabad, or Mumbai.
- Exposure to environment/water conservation projects or rural development programmes.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, project management software, and impact measurement frameworks.
- Experience engaging with government bodies at the district or state level.
