KNS Institute of Technology (KNSIT) is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and result-oriented Placement Assistant to support the Training & Placement Cell in strengthening industry relations and creating quality placement opportunities for engineering students. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, networking, coordination, and organizational skills with a strong passion for corporate outreach and student career development.
Key ResponsibilitiesIndustry Outreach & Business Development
- Identify and connect with companies across various industries for campus recruitment opportunities.
- Source new placement opportunities for engineering students through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn networking, job portals, and personal networking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HR professionals, Talent Acquisition teams, and hiring managers.
- Convince recruiters to participate in campus recruitment drives, pooled campus drives, internships, and industry engagement activities.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with recruiters and represent KNSIT professionally.
- Visit companies whenever required to establish and strengthen corporate relationships.
Campus Recruitment Coordination
- Coordinate end-to-end campus recruitment activities.
- Collect Job Descriptions (JDs), eligibility criteria, CTC details, selection process, and hiring timelines from recruiters.
- Maintain regular communication with recruiters before, during, and after recruitment drives.
- Ensure smooth execution of interviews, online assessments, group discussions, and HR rounds.
Corporate Relations
- Maintain an updated database of recruiters and hiring companies.
- Develop long-term relationships with existing recruiters while continuously expanding the recruiter network.
- Follow up consistently with organizations regarding hiring requirements.
- Promote KNSIT's strengths, student achievements, infrastructure, and placement ecosystem to prospective recruiters.
Documentation & MIS
- Maintain accurate placement records and recruiter databases.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on outreach activities and placement progress.
- Generate reports using Microsoft Excel and present placement statistics whenever required.
- Maintain documentation related to company interactions and recruitment activities.
Student Coordination
- Communicate placement opportunities to eligible students.
- Coordinate with departments regarding student registrations and interview schedules.
- Ensure student data is accurate and updated.
- Assist in conducting placement orientations, training sessions, and employer interactions.
Administrative Support
- Coordinate logistics for campus recruitment drives.
- Support the Training & Placement Officer in day-to-day placement activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of recruiter and student information.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Placement Office.
Required Skills

- Confident in speaking with senior HR professionals and corporate leaders.
- Good negotiation and convincing skills.
- Professional email writing skills.
- Strong telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filtering, sorting, charts, data validation, basic formulas).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and professional networking platforms.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain databases.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good presentation and public speaking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 0- 1 years of experience in placements, recruitment, HR, business development, corporate relations, or client servicing, Training will be provided
- Fresh graduates with exceptional communication and networking skills may also apply.

Salary
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and performance.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
