Job Purpose The Field Sales Officer (FSO) is responsible for day-to-day sales execution at distributor and retailer level, ensuring product availability, order booking, and achieving sales targets in their assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Sales Execution Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets in the assigned territory. Ensure product availability at distributors and retailers. Collect orders and ensure accurate reporting of secondary sales. Monitor stock levels at distributors and retailers and coordinate timely replenishment. Distributor & Retailer Management Maintain strong working relationships with distributors and key retailers. Ensure proper implementation of schemes and promotional campaigns. Resolve market-level issues such as stock shortages or delays. Identify potential new retail outlets or distributor accounts in the territory. Trade Marketing & Promotion Support trade marketing programs: product displays, schemes, and retailer engagement initiatives. Ensure visibility of products in stores as per company guidelines. Collect feedback from the market regarding competitors, product performance, and promotions. D. Digital Field Force Management Use Field Assist for: Recording daily attendance, market visits, and FSO activity logs Order management, Tracking sales, secondary sales, and inventory at retailers and share order with distributors New retail outlet creation Ensure data accuracy and timely submission for reporting and analytics Reporting & Analytics Submit daily/weekly sales reports to ASM using Field Assist / Zylem. Maintain accurate records of sales, orders, stock, and market visits. Provide market insights and competitor intelligence via digital tools. Required Qualifications Education: Graduate (B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, or equivalent) Experience: 0–3 years in field sales or distributor-led FMCG/pharma preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Skills & Competencies Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills. Basic understanding of sales processes, secondary sales, and inventory management. Ability to work independently and travel extensively within assigned territory. Analytical mindset for reporting and identifying gaps. Self-motivated, result-oriented, and disciplined in territory coverage.
