Job brief:
A Software Engineer is an IT professional who designs, develops, tests, and maintains computer software at a company. They use their creativity and technical skills and apply the principles of software engineering to help solve new and ongoing problems for an organization.
We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and install software solutions. Software Engineer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality, and writing code in various languages, like Java, Python, Ruby on Rails programming languages (e.g. C++ or JScript.NET.), Testing using Automation tools. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.
Ultimately, the role of the Software Engineer is to build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.

Job Responsibilities

Planning - Candidate willing to actively contribute to the day-to-day planning, design, execution, and reporting of manual test cases and automated test scripts

Automation principles - Follows software engineering principles in the development of automation, manual test cases, software tools, and SQL

Quick Learner - Understand and apply test-driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions or manual test executions and software utilities developed by self and others

Global Delivery - Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Communication Skills - Proficient in Speaking, Reading, and Writing English

Meeting Etiquette - Should be able to participate in meetings, communicate thoughts clearly/concisely and push back whenever required

Testing - Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
Requirements for success in the role:

Experience - 2-4+years of experience in Automation Testing.

Programming - Hands-on in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, etc. Excellent skills in object-oriented programming.

Problem Solving - Good problem solving and debugging skills

Automation tools - Expertise in test automation tools such as Selenium using Java and ability to design and explore other frameworks in the market.

Fundamentals - Excellent in software testing fundamentals, concepts, and processes.

Performance - Should be able to pitch in for Performance testing using J-meter.

Version Control - Version control tools such as GIT

API Automation - Experience in working with API testing tools using JS/Java is a must

Stakeholder - Ability to work in a team with a diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.

Cloud - Experience in cloud technologies such as docker and Kubernetes is a must

Learning - Should be able to learn other programming languages in order to implement frameworks using different tools in the market

Mobile test automation development - It would be good if he/she has some experience with mobile automation of flutter apps(not mandatory, just an add-on)
