Job Summary
Instructional Designer – Content Development and eLearning
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and creative Instructional Designer who can design, develop, and deliver engaging learning content across digital and blended learning formats. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in content development, eLearning design, content authoring, and instructional strategy , with a solid understanding of the ADDIE model .
This role will involve working closely with Subject Matter Experts, stakeholders, and content teams to develop learning content from ideation and planning through design, development, review, and final publishing.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, English, Communication, Learning & Development, or a related field.
Certification in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, or Learning Experience Design will be an added advantage.
Relevant experience in instructional design, content development, eLearning, or corporate training content creation.
Key Responsibilities
Design effective learning solutions using the Learning principles/methodologies.
Translate business, training, and learner requirements into structured learning experiences.
Develop content strategies for eLearning modules, instructor-led training, blended learning, microlearning, assessments, and knowledge resources.
Create learning objectives, course outlines, storyboards, scripts, learning journeys, and content maps.
Ensure content is learner-centric, engaging, accurate, and aligned with business goals.
Develop high-quality training content for various formats, including eLearning courses, videos, job aids, presentations, facilitator guides, learner guides, quizzes, and assessments.
Use content authoring tools to build interactive and visually engaging digital learning modules.
Convert complex information into clear, simple, and effective learning content.
Ensure consistency in tone, style, structure, and instructional approach across all learning materials.
Apply adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and accessibility standards where applicable.
Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to gather, validate, and refine content.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand training needs, learner profiles, business objectives, and expected outcomes.
Partner with content developers, graphic designers, multimedia teams, LMS administrators, and project managers to deliver complete learning solutions.
Manage review cycles, incorporate feedback, and ensure timely content approvals.
Support the complete content development lifecycle from ideation to content publishing .
Maintain content calendars, project timelines, version control, and documentation.
Review and update existing learning content to keep it current, relevant, and effective.
Support content publishing on LMS/LXP platforms and ensure courses function correctly before launch.
Evaluate content effectiveness using learner feedback, assessment data, and performance metrics.
Skill Requirements
Strong understanding of instructional design principles and the ADDIE model .
Experience in eLearning development and content authoring .
Ability to create storyboards, scripts, learning objectives, assessments, and training materials.
Strong writing, editing, and content structuring skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts for different learner groups.
Experience working with SMEs, stakeholders, and cross-functional content teams.
Good understanding of adult learning principles, learner engagement strategies, and digital learning trends.
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously.
