Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary and highly skilled Senior Tricentis Tosca Test Automation Architect to lead our enterprisewide test automation strategy In this role you will be the primary Subject Matter Expert SME responsible for defining designing and optimizing robust modelbased test automation frameworks using the Tricentis suite You will bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy collaborating with DevOps developers and product owners to scale continuous testing reduce timetomarket and ensure uncompromised software quality across modern architectures and legacy systems including SAP Web APIs and Mobile
Key Responsibilities
1 Functional QA Strategy Requirement Engineering
BusinesstoTechnical Translation Analyze complex business requirements functional specifications and user stories to map out comprehensive test strategies ensuring maximum functional coverage
RiskBased Testing RBT Lead risk assessment workshops with product managers and business analysts to prioritize testing efforts based on business risk financial impact and frequency of use
Functional Test Design Design endtoend user journeys and regression suites that validate underlying business logic workflows and edge cases rather than just UI elements
2 Architecture Framework Design Tosca Suite
EndtoEnd Automation Strategy Define the enterprise test automation roadmap governance and quality gates across multiple business units
ModelBased Frameworks Design build and maintain scalable maintainable and modular test automation solutions using Tricentis Tosca
Complex Landscape Coverage Architect automation solutions across heterogeneous landscapes specializing in Web UI Desktop Mobile APIMicroservices and packaged applications like SAP ECC S4HANA or Salesforce
Advanced Feature Utilization Implement and manage advanced Tosca features including Distributed Execution DEX Test Data Service TDS Service Virtualization and Tosca LiveCompare for SAP change impact analysis
3 DevOps Continuous Testing
CICD Pipeline Integration Seamlessly embed automated Tosca suites into DevOps pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps Jenkins GitLab or GitHub Actions to enable shiftleft testing
Tool Orchestration Integrate Tosca with enterprise test management and ALM platforms eg qTest Jira ServiceNow
Environment Infra Management Collaborate with infrastructure teams to set up and manage execution infrastructure virtual machines and cloudbased testing labs
4 Leadership Governance
CoE Mentorship Act as the primary technical anchor for the Quality Engineering Center of Excellence CoE Mentor QA engineers test leads and automation specialists on Tosca best practices design patterns and advanced troubleshooting
Code Review Governance Establish standards for Modules Test Case Design TCD and execution lists to ensure asset reusability and minimize script flakiness
Metrics Reporting Define automation KPIs eg ROI test coverage execution stability and build analytical dashboards using Tosca Commander and reporting tools for executive stakeholder review
Required Qualifications Skills
Core Functional Testing Skills
Test Case Design Methodologies Expertlevel understanding of functional test design techniques including Boundary Value Analysis BVA Equivalence Partitioning Decision Tables and State Transition Testing
Domain Knowledge Strong ability to quickly grasp complex business domains eg Finance Supply Chain Telecom Healthcare to validate multisystem endtoend workflows
Defect Management Deep experience in the defect lifecycletriaging bugs conducting Root Cause Analysis RCA and collaborating closely with developers for swift resolution
Data Verification Strong SQL skills to perform backend database testing data integrity validation and endtoend data reconciliation
Technical Automation Skills
Experience 10 years in Software TestingQuality Engineering with at least 5 years of dedicated handson architectural experience with Tricentis Tosca Suite
Tosca Mastery Deep understanding of Tosca Architecture including Commander Repositories Multiuser setups TDS DEX and API engine customization
Platform Expertise Proven track record in automating enterprise softwarespecifically SAP Web applications and Web Services RESTSOAP
DevOps Engineering Deep proficiency in setting up continuous testing in modern CICD tools Azure DevOps or Jenkins preferred
Technical Breadth Solid understanding of programming languages C Java or Python to extend Tosca functionalities using custom controls or TBox extensions if required
