Job Summary
Position Details - Level: L2 - Department: Process Automation Team - Employment Type: Full-time - Shift Pattern: 24x7 rotational shifts (must be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays) - Role Summary The L2 Process Automation Engineer will work collaboratively with the automation team to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that streamline IT operations and infrastructure management. This role offers hands-on experience with modern automation tools, scripting languages, and cloud technologies in a dynamic enterprise environment. - Key Responsibilities Automation Development - Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, TypeScript, and Java - Create and optimize workflows in Azure Automation and Ansible - Implement API-based integrations to connect various systems and services - Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for automation development Infrastructure Support - Support Windows and Linux infrastructure environments - Monitor automated processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise - Assist in the deployment and configuration of automation solutions - Document automation procedures, runbooks, and technical specifications Operational Excellence - Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure continuous operations - Respond to automation-related incidents and service requests - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives - Required Skills & Qualifications # Technical Skills Scripting & Programming (Beginner to Intermediate Level) - PowerShell: Ability to write and maintain PowerShell scripts for Windows automation - Python: Basic to intermediate Python programming for automation tasks - Bash: Shell scripting knowledge for Linux/Unix environments - TypeScript: Understanding of TypeScript for modern automation frameworks - Java: Beginner-level Java knowledge for enterprise integrations Automation Platforms - Azure Automation: Familiarity with Azure Automation services, runbooks, and hybrid workers - Ansible: Understanding of Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventory management - Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles API & Integration - Understanding of RESTful APIs and API authentication methods - Experience with API testing tools (Postman, curl, etc.) - Ability to consume and integrate with third-party APIs - Knowledge of JSON/XML data formats
