About Candid Digital
Candid Digital (Gantare Digital LLP) is a digital agency based in India. We build and manage WordPress and WooCommerce websites for D2C, ecommerce and local service brands, and we also handle their SEO and content. Our team works remotely, we run all our work through Slack and Notion, and we keep a written SOP for every process we follow.
About the Role
We need a WordPress developer who writes code and does not only install plugins. You will build new client websites, maintain the live ones, set up WooCommerce stores, migrate and speed up sites, and fix things when they break.
You will follow our SOPs, update your tasks in Notion every day, and report to the Technical Coordinator.
What You Will Do
- Build WordPress websites from a given design using Elementor and child themes, fully responsive
- Build ACF sections: repeaters, flexible content, galleries and options pages
- Create custom post types, taxonomies and templates for listing, location and product pages
- Set up WooCommerce: products, variations, GST tax, shipping, payment gateways and order emails
- Install WordPress on domains and subdomains, set up staging and migrate websites
- Set up SMTP and test every form on the website before handover
- Handle Cloudflare, DNS, SSL, redirects and 404 fixes after a migration
- Improve speed with Redis object cache, LiteSpeed or WP Rocket, and image and script cleanup
- Add GTM, GA4, Meta Pixel, schema, Rank Math or Yoast, sitemap and robots.txt
- Debug PHP errors, blank pages and plugin conflicts
What You Need
- 1+ years of full time WordPress development, agency experience preferred
- Strong ACF skills: repeaters, flexible content, galleries and options pages
- PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
- Custom post types, taxonomies, WP_Query, hooks and child themes
- Elementor at a professional level
- WooCommerce setup and troubleshooting
- Redis object cache, LiteSpeed or WP Rocket
- cPanel, phpMyAdmin, PHP limits, migrations, backups, Cloudflare, DNS and SSL
- You try to solve a problem on your own first, and you can explain what you already tried
Good to Have
- Python or Node for small scripts
- Custom plugin development
Work Setup
- ₹20,000 per month
- 100% work from home, anywhere in India
- Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST, with the 2nd and 4th Saturday off
- You need your own laptop and a stable internet connection.
