The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining materials, tools, and equipment required for office and project sites. The role ensures accurate inventory records, timely material availability, and proper storage practices while maintaining stock accuracy and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Management
- Receive materials and verify quantity and quality against Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Challans (DC), and invoices.
- Store materials in designated locations following proper identification and labeling.
- Issue materials to departments/sites only against approved Material Requisition Notes (MRN).
- Maintain minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
- Report shortages, damages, excess stock, and slow-moving items.
Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain stock registers and inventory records in Excel/ERP.
- Update Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips, and Stock Transfer Notes.
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, delivery challans, and purchase documents.
- Generate inventory reports as required by management.
Material Handling
- Ensure safe loading, unloading, and storage of materials.
- Maintain proper FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO where applicable.
- Monitor storage conditions to prevent damage or deterioration.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, Project Teams, and Vendors.
- Ensure timely availability of materials for project execution.
- Follow up on pending deliveries with suppliers when required.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Properly store electrical equipment, tools, and consumables.
- Prevent material loss, theft, and wastage.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
