Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Instrumental Instruction: Conduct structured practical and theoretical lessons across key instrument categories:
- Keyboard/Piano (Synthesizer, Harmonium)
- Percussion (Tabla, Dholak, Drums, Congo)
- String/Wind Instruments (Guitar, Flute, Violin)
- School Orchestra & Band: Form, train, and conduct the school instrumental band and orchestra for morning assemblies and formal events.
- Event Coordination: Compose music tracks, arrange background scores, and train students for major events like Annual Day, Independence Day, and cultural fests.
- Competition Preparation: Identify musical talent within the school and rigorously train students for inter-school, district, state, and national cultural competitions.
- Curriculum Development: Design an engaging instrumental music syllabus that introduces music notations, rhythms, and ragas to students of various age groups.
- Inventory Maintenance: Manage the school music room, tracking the inventory, safety, and regular tuning/maintenance of all musical instruments.
Required Qualifications & Eligibility (As per CBSE Norms)
- Education: Graduate / Post Graduate degree in Music (Vocal or Instrumental) such as B.Mus. / M.Mus. from a recognized university.
- Alternative Certification: Higher diplomas from reputed musical institutions (e.g., Sangeet Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya or Prayag Sangeet Samiti, or Trinity College London certifications).
- Experience: Prior experience teaching instrumental music in a school or reputed academy is preferred.
- Key Skills: Multi-instrument proficiency, strong stage presentation skills, patience with young learners, and good communication skills.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
