About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive *HR Coordinator* to manage day-to-day HR operations at our spices manufacturing unit in Ahmedabad. You’ll be the go-to person for payroll, workforce management, recruitment, and employee support, ensuring smooth HR processes on the shop floor and in the office.
Key Responsibilities
1. *Payroll Management*
- Process daily attendance and prepare payroll inputs for workers and staff
- Coordinate with accounts for timely salary disbursement and deductions
- Maintain accurate records for overtime, leave, and advances
2. *Daily Reporting*
- Prepare daily MIS reports on attendance, manpower strength, and labor productivity
- Report HR metrics and workforce status to plant management
- Maintain HR dashboards and statutory compliance trackers
3. *Labour Management & Sourcing*
- Oversee contract and permanent labor on the shop floor
- Ensure discipline, shift allocation, and grievance handling
- Source skilled and unskilled labor as per production requirements
- Coordinate with labor contractors and verify documentation
4. *Recruitment*
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant staff, operators, and support roles
- Conduct screening, interviews, and onboarding for new hires
- Maintain a talent pool for urgent hiring needs
5. *Other HR Operations*
- Ensure compliance with Shops & Establishments Act, Factories Act, PF, ESIC, and other labor laws
- Handle employee onboarding, induction, and exit formalities
- Maintain employee records, ID cards, and statutory registers
- Organize training sessions, safety briefings, and engagement activities
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-4 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or food processing
- Hands-on experience with payroll, attendance systems, and labor compliance
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS tools
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Gujarati
- Ability to handle a fast-paced factory environment and manage large workforce
Preferred
- Experience in spices, food, or chemical manufacturing units
- Familiarity with Gujarat labor laws and local recruitment networks
