JD: Quality Engineer (Vehicle Audit)
Reporting to: Project Manager / Site Manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile/Production preferred)
- Minimum 5 to 8 years in vehicle Quality Inspection, Product Audit, Final Inspection, PDI or Manufacturing Quality.
- Experience in tractors, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, commercial vehicles, automotive products is preferred.
- Experience in inspection of finished vehicles will be an advantage.
Knowledge & Competencies
- Good understanding of automotive quality requirements
- Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes and defects during these processes
- Strong knowledge of paint and surface-finish defects.
- Understanding of defect classification and quality standards.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as check sheets, Pareto analysis and defect trend analysis.
- Ability to prepare clear inspection reports with photographic evidence.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including OEM customers
- Awareness of 8D / Root Cause Analysis / CAPA would be an advantage.
- Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Flexible and willing to work in Matrix organisation structure.

POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Will be responsible for performing systematic visual, cosmetic, workmanship and
functional quality inspections of completed vehicles against defined quality standards and inspection criteria.
- The role requires a strong eye for detail, disciplined inspection methodology and
the ability to identify, classify and accurately document even minor defects that may impact the appearance, perceived quality or customer acceptance.
- Product Inspection & Audit
▪ Conduct detailed final product audits of completed vehicles before dispatch/export.
▪ Perform systematic 100% visual and static functional inspection or audit-based inspection, as defined by the customer/project requirements.
- Cosmetic & Visual Quality Inspection of Finished Vehicle
▪ Identify cosmetic, assembly, workmanship and manufacturing defects.
▪ Verify that the finished product / vehicle meets the defined customer appearance and workmanship standards.
- Follow a defined inspection sequence/check sheet to ensure complete coverage.
- Record and Archive evidence of Inspections and results in digital form
- Defect Documentation and Recording: Recording, Classification of defects and identification of location, type, severity & description of each defect
- Act as an independent Quality gate before shipment
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
