We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator (L2) to strengthen our database management team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL troubleshooting, cluster setup, database migration, and high availability. In addition, the role requires expertise in performance tuning, security, patching, and automation to ensure database stability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:-
Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure availability, performance, and security.
Set up and administer PostgreSQL database clusters.
Perform database troubleshooting, patching, and hardening activities.
Design, implement, and optimize database systems and architecture.
Automate administrative tasks for improved efficiency.
Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Monitor replication, logs, and system performance proactively.
Collaborate with development and operations teams for seamless integration.
Provide support for database-related issues and ensure SLA compliance.
Stay updated with the latest PostgreSQL advancements and best practices.
Must-Have Technical Skills:-
PostgreSQL Database troubleshooting and performance tuning
Cluster setup and management
Foreign data wrappers configuration
Backup and restore strategies
Database hardening and patching
Maintenance jobs and user management
Good-to-Have Skills:-
Database replication setup and monitoring
Knowledge of data migration across versions
Exposure to compliance standards and data protection practices

Education:
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics & Telecommunication (Civil/Mechanical not preferred)
B.Sc. (IT)
BCA or MCA (Full-time, from reputed university)
