Production Manager – Manufacturing (Medchal, Hyderabad)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our large-scale production facility in Medchal, Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical engineering expertise, deep production management experience, and a proven track record of handling high-volume manufacturing environments while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Candidates with experience in foam manufacturing / flexible polyurethane products will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Operations Management
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production across multiple shifts to meet output targets.
- Track and report daily production output per shift and per worker.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
Scrap & Material Management
- Implement effective scrap reduction and waste management initiatives.
- Monitor scrap generation, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate scrap records and share regular reports with management.
Workforce Management
- Lead and manage a large blue-collar workforce across production lines.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for shop-floor roles.
- Drive employee retention initiatives and ensure workforce stability.
- Handle employee grievances and maintain a positive shop-floor environment.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to fire safety standards, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
- Conduct safety drills, audits, and training sessions regularly.
- Maintain proper documentation of incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions.
New Product Introduction & Launches
- Support and execute new product launches (NPI / Sky Launches).
- Coordinate with R&D and quality teams for smooth transition from pilot to full-scale production.
- Ensure timely ramp-up of production during new launches.
Vendor & Procurement Coordination
- Manage relationships with raw material and service vendors.
- Support negotiations for pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor vendor performance and manage escalations when required.
Data & Reporting (MIS)
- Maintain daily production MIS including output, efficiency, downtime, scrap, and manpower data.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Share regular performance reports with senior management.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
- 6–10 years of experience in manufacturing/production roles.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations (500+ workforce preferred).
- Strong experience in scrap reduction and workforce management.
- Exposure to new product launches / production ramp-ups.
- Good understanding of safety standards and factory compliance.
- Strong skills in MS Excel, ERP systems, and MIS reporting tools.
- Experience in vendor management and negotiation.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in foam manufacturing / flexible polyurethane industry.
- Experience in high-volume, multi-line production environments with complex SKU structures.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,700,000.00 per year
