Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Steward to join the Japanese restaurant team at Della Resorts & Adventure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and operational excellence. The Steward will play a key role in creating an authentic Japanese dining experience through attentive service, professionalism, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus and explain restaurant offerings, including Japanese dishes, beverages, and daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
- Ensure timely clearing, resetting, and preparation of tables.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Maintain a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor throughout service.
Restaurant Operations
- Set up the restaurant before service, including table settings, cutlery, crockery, glassware, and condiments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and pantry.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of crockery, glassware, and service equipment.
- Follow opening, closing, and shift handover procedures.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Adhere to all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
- Follow grooming standards and maintain a clean, well-presented appearance.
- Handle food and beverages in accordance with hotel SOPs and HACCP guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Teamwork
- Assist colleagues during busy service periods.
- Participate in training sessions and continuously improve product knowledge.
- Support management in achieving guest satisfaction and operational goals.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel, or Japanese restaurant is preferred.
