The Commis Chef is responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen operations while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety. Depending on experience and skill level, the Commis Chef may work independently on assigned sections or assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, chopping, and marinating.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as per standard recipes.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage to the senior chef.
- Properly store food items and ensure stock rotation (FIFO).
- Support kitchen operations during peak service hours.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow company policies, kitchen procedures, and quality standards.

- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
