Job Title: Consultant / Senior Consultant - Surgical Oncology
Location: Sarvodaya Hospital, Chhatikara, Mathura
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Oncologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive surgical management of cancer patients. This includes diagnosis, surgical planning and execution, and providing holistic pre- and post-operative care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Evaluation & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with suspected or confirmed cancer diagnoses. Interpret diagnostic imaging, pathology reports, and biopsy results to guide treatment strategies.
- Surgical Treatment: Plan and perform complex oncological surgeries, including tumor resections, lymphadenectomies, and minimally invasive cancer procedures, with a strong focus on patient safety and outcomes.
- Peri-operative Care: Provide thorough pre-operative assessment and post-operative care to patients. Monitor recovery, manage complications, and ensure continuity of care.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Actively collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists. Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards to develop integrated and comprehensive treatment plans.
- Patient & Family Counseling: Counsel patients and their families regarding surgical options, risks, prognosis, and long-term follow-up and survivorship plans.
- Documentation & Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and surgical documentation. Adhere to evidence-based guidelines, surgical oncology protocols, and quality metrics.
- Training & Leadership (for Senior Roles): Guide, train, and supervise junior surgeons and residents. Supervise surgical procedures and ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Qualifications:
- Essential: MS (Master of Surgery) in Surgical Oncology.
- Preferred: DM / DNB / DrNB in Surgical Oncology.
Experience:
- Consultant Role: 1 to 5 years of experience.
- Senior Consultant Role: 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Oncosurgeon Role: 10 to 15 years of experience
Key Skills:
- Strong clinical decision-making and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other specialists.
- Strong team working skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: The budget for this position is up to ₹8 Lakhs Per Month (LPM), with the potential for an increase based on experience and qualifications.
