Namosri Ventures Pvt. Ltd. operates Tiki Farms Resort, a 9-key boutique resort set across 8 acres in Karjat, Raigad, Maharashtra — known for its tropical, peaceful, and personalised hospitality. Mai Kai is the resort's signature multicuisine restaurant, designed to operate as an independent revenue centre serving both resort guests and external diners.
Job purpose
Mai Kai Restaurant at Tiki Farms Resort is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Helper / Commis to support the culinary team across daily operations. The role is particularly focused on South Indian breakfast preparation and mise-en-place, with additional support to Indian, Chinese, and Continental sections during service. Ideal for someone with hands-on kitchen experience who is reliable, hard-working, and keen to grow in a resort kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and assist in South Indian breakfast items — idli, dosa, vada, upma, and related mise-en-place
- Support Indian, Chinese, and Continental chefs during service hours
- Handle basic food preparation: cutting, cleaning, chopping, and pre-cooking tasks
- Wash utensils, equipment, and maintain cleanliness of workstations throughout service
- Assist with receiving deliveries, storage, and restocking of kitchen supplies
- Follow stock rotation (FIFO) and basic inventory hygiene practices
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards as per resort SOPs
- Support banquet and bulk cooking operations during events and weddings
- Assist senior chefs with any prep work or kitchen tasks as directed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hotel, resort, or commercial kitchen
- Experience preparing South Indian breakfast items preferred
- Basic knife handling and food preparation skills
- Knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and kitchen discipline
- Physically fit and willing to perform kitchen support tasks throughout the day
- Willing to live on-site (staff dormitory accommodation provided)
- Languages: Hindi; Marathi a plus

- Reliable and punctual — particularly important for breakfast service
- Ability to work under pressure during peak service and events
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a resort kitchen
Compensation & benefits
Fixed salary: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month (based on experience)
Accommodation: Staff dormitory at resort (residential role)
Meals: All meals provided
Uniform: Provided
Working pattern
- 6 days a week
- Weekend presence mandatory
- Weekly off on a weekday
- Immediate joining preferred
