Job Summary
The IVF Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments. The role includes assisting consultants during clinical procedures, coordinating patient care, maintaining infection control standards, educating patients, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the IVF unit.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing IVF and fertility treatments.
- Prepare patients for consultations, investigations, and procedures.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and document clinical observations.
- Administer medications, injections, and intravenous fluids as prescribed.
- Educate patients regarding treatment protocols, medication schedules, and post-procedure care.
Clinical Assistance
- Assist IVF Consultants during procedures such as:
- Oocyte Pick-Up (OPU)
- Embryo Transfer (ET)
- Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
- Hysteroscopy
- Minor OT procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all required equipment and consumables are available.
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices during procedures.
Medication & Documentation
- Maintain accurate nursing records and patient documentation.
- Verify prescriptions and maintain medication administration records.
- Monitor and maintain emergency drugs and crash cart readiness.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of medicines and consumables.
Infection Control & Quality
- Follow NABH and hospital infection control protocols.
- Ensure sterilisation of instruments and proper biomedical waste segregation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, embryologists, counsellors, and administrative staff for seamless patient care.
- Schedule patient appointments and assist in treatment planning.
- Support patients throughout their fertility treatment journey by addressing routine concerns and ensuring timely follow-up.
Inventory Management
- Monitor nursing consumables and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Report equipment malfunction or maintenance requirements.
- Assist in inventory management and stock verification.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Adhere to ART, PCPNDT, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with organisational and legal requirements.
Qualification
- GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognised institution.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
Experience
- 1–5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in IVF, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, OT, or Women's Healthcare is preferred.
- Freshers with strong clinical knowledge may also be considered.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
