Sub-Team Leader – SEBI

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Sub-Team Leader – SEBI to lead and manage SEBI compliance and regulatory assignments while ensuring timely project delivery, quality execution, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of SEBI regulations, corporate laws, and corporate governance, along with proven team management and stakeholder coordination skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Client Management
- Lead SEBI-related compliance and advisory assignments from planning to execution.
- Prepare project plans, allocate work, define timelines, and monitor project progress.
- Ensure timely completion of assignments with high quality and accuracy.
- Review team deliverables and provide guidance wherever required.
- Interact with clients to understand requirements, resolve queries, and manage escalations.
- Conduct client meetings and visits as required.
- Coordinate with internal teams including HR, Accounts, Admin, Marketing, R&D, and other functional teams for smooth project execution.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders whenever required.
- Draft professional opinions and advisory notes on regulatory matters.
Billing & Recovery
- Ensure timely billing, invoicing, and recovery for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with clients regarding outstanding payments.
Knowledge Management
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and internal training initiatives.
- Stay updated with SEBI regulations, Companies Act, and other applicable laws.
- Contribute to the organization's knowledge repository and regulatory updates.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and guide team members and trainees.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Identify training needs and help develop team capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Reporting & Reviews
- Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, priorities, and challenges.
- Participate in weekly, fortnightly, and monthly management review meetings.
- Track project deliverables, escalations, and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Company Secretary (CS) from ICSI.
- Strong understanding of SEBI Regulations, Companies Act, and Indian corporate laws.
- Practical knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management and client handling skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in handling SEBI compliance, listed company compliances, and regulatory filings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
