Job Description – Pharmacist (Dental & Skin/Cosmetology Clinic)Position Summary
The Pharmacist is responsible for managing the procurement, storage, dispensing, inventory, and documentation of all pharmaceutical products and medical consumables used in the Dental and Skin & Cosmetology clinics. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations while supporting clinicians in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesPharmacy Operations
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify prescriptions for completeness, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide patients with clear instructions regarding medication usage, dosage, storage, and possible side effects.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels of medicines, injectables, vaccines, consumables, and emergency drugs.
- Maintain adequate inventory to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely removal and disposal of expired products.
- Maintain proper storage conditions, including temperature-sensitive medications.
Procurement
- Coordinate with approved vendors for purchasing medicines and consumables.
- Compare quotations and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Receive, inspect, and document all pharmacy supplies.
- Maintain purchase records and supplier documentation.
Dental Clinic Support
- Maintain stock of local anaesthetics, antibiotics, analgesics, endodontic materials, implant-related medications, and emergency drugs.
- Ensure availability of dental consumables required for routine and specialty procedures.
- Support dentists by preparing medications required during clinical procedures.
- Maintain emergency drug kits and monitor their expiry.
Skin & Cosmetology Clinic Support
- Manage inventory of dermatological medications, topical preparations, injectables, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, PRP consumables, chemical peels, lasers-related consumables, and aesthetic products.
- Ensure proper storage of temperature-sensitive cosmetic products and injectables.
- Assist in maintaining product traceability for aesthetic procedures.
- Monitor stock of skincare retail products and coordinate replenishment.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and clinic policies.
- Maintain dispensing records, purchase registers, controlled drug registers, and stock records.
- Participate in internal quality audits and accreditation requirements.
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste disposal protocols.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor medicine quality and report any damaged or recalled products.
- Ensure proper labelling and storage practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety audits.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with dentists, dermatologists, nursing staff, and clinic administration.
- Assist in planning inventory based on clinic requirements.
- Provide product information and medication updates to clinicians when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm/B.Pharm).
- Valid Pharmacist Registration License as per applicable regulations.
- Minimum 1–2 years of pharmacy experience (experience in dental, dermatology, or cosmetic clinics is preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and inventory management.
- Familiarity with dermatology and dental medications.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Working Hours
As per clinic operational requirements, including rotational shifts if applicable.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
