SKILLS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Establish quality policies, procedures, and documentation to support manufacturing operations and quality objectives.
· Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from design to production.
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
· Quality Assurance Standards Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality assurance standards and regulations, such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to verify adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
· Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements, conduct supplier audits, and ensure the delivery of defect-free components.
- Monitor supplier performance, address quality issues, and implement corrective actions to improve supplier quality and reliability.
· Root Cause Analysis and Problem-solving:
- Investigate and analyze quality issues and non-conformances using root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D Problem Solving).
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
· Quality Metrics and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report on quality performance.
- Generate quality reports and presentations for management review, highlighting trends, areas for improvement, and corrective actions taken.
· New Product Introduction (NPI) Support:
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure that quality requirements are defined and met during product development and launch phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess manufacturability, reliability, and quality risks of new products.
· Customer Complaints and Warranty Management:
- Investigate and address customer complaints and warranty claims related to product quality or reliability issues.
- Implement corrective actions to resolve root causes and improve customer satisfaction and product reliability.
· Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance to quality assurance team members and manufacturing personnel on quality processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
· Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant automotive regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements (e.g., FMVSS, ECE, RoHS).
· Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential quality risks in manufacturing processes and products.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on product quality and customer satisfaction.
· Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide leadership and direction to the quality assurance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, and sales, to address quality-related concerns and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
