Job Summary
Ashok Metal Crafts is a leading manufacturer of aluminium, steel, and plastic products. We are looking for an experienced and responsible Factory Manager to oversee our day-to-day factory operations, manage employees, coordinate production activities, and handle administrative responsibilities.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and organizational skills, the ability to assign and monitor tasks effectively, and experience in managing factory operations and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the factory.
- Assign jobs and responsibilities to employees based on production requirements and their skills.
- Monitor employee performance and ensure assigned tasks are completed on time.
- Track daily production activities, work progress, attendance, and employee productivity.
- Ensure production targets and schedules are achieved efficiently.
- Coordinate with supervisors, workers, and management to ensure smooth factory operations.
- Monitor the efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources.
- Maintain discipline, work standards, and a positive working environment within the factory.
- Identify operational issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the factory premises and equipment.
- Coordinate with management regarding production requirements, manpower, materials, and operational issues.
- Maintain and monitor relevant factory records, reports, and documentation.
- Handle routine administrative and HR-related activities within the factory.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave, overtime, and work schedules.
- Assist management with recruitment, employee coordination, and workforce planning when required.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Prepare regular reports on production, manpower, attendance, and factory performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce wastage, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in factory management, production management, or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Ability to effectively assign, coordinate, and monitor employee tasks.
- Good knowledge of factory operations and workforce management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and other office applications.
- Willingness to take responsibility for overall factory operations.
- Relevant manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Tamil is preferred/required.
