Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Executive to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial activities of our construction company. The role involves handling project-based accounting, vendor payments, customer invoicing, account reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience in construction accounting and a strong understanding of financial processes related to construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records for construction projects and company operations.
- Prepare and process client invoices, progress billing, and payment certificates.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Verify and process subcontractor and supplier invoices.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and customer accounts.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Track project revenue, retention amounts, and contract variations.
- Ensure timely payment of taxes, statutory dues, and regulatory filings.
- Support payroll processing and employee reimbursement claims.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams regarding project-related financial matters.
- Maintain proper documentation of contracts, purchase orders, and financial transactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction accounting practices, project costing, and contract billing.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations (for India-based companies).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
