Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, acquiring clients, and driving revenue growth for the company's retail, commercial, and corporate interior fit-out projects. The role requires developing strong relationships with architects, consultants, builders, corporate clients, retail brands, and project management consultants while coordinating with the design and execution teams to deliver end-to-end interior solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in retail, commercial, office, and hospitality interior projects.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, site visits, exhibitions, and digital platforms.
- Meet prospective clients to understand project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Prepare and deliver company presentations, proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.
- Coordinate with the design, estimation, and project teams for BOQs, presentations, and project proposals.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close business deals.
- Build long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, developers, and corporate clients.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and ensure regular follow-up until project closure.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
- Submit weekly sales reports, lead status, revenue forecasts, and management updates.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, networking events, and client meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- MBA (Marketing) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Business Development or B2B Sales.
- Experience in Interior Design, Retail Fit-Out, Commercial Fit-Out, Furniture Manufacturing, Architecture, Construction, or Real Estate is preferred.
- Proven track record in lead generation and client acquisition.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Client relationship management.
- Knowledge of commercial interiors and turnkey project execution.
- Understanding of BOQ, quotations, and project costing.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
