Job Role-
The Grant Officer will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, preparing and submitting grant proposals, coordinating with internal teams for documentation, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. The role requires strong research, writing, coordination, and reporting skills to support the organisation’s fundraising and programme objectives.
Key Responsibilities-
Grant Research & Identification
- Research and identify suitable grant opportunities from government bodies, foundations, CSR initiatives, international donors, and trusts.
- Maintain an updated database of potential and active donors, deadlines, and funding priorities.
Proposal Development
- Draft high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, letters of inquiry, and funding applications.
- Coordinate with programme, finance, and operations teams to gather required data, budgets, and impact metrics.
- Ensure proposals align with donor guidelines and organisational objectives.
Grant Management & Compliance
- Track grant timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, reporting schedules, and documentation.
- Support audits, reviews, and donor visits as required.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare narrative and financial reports in coordination with programme and finance teams.
- Maintain accurate records of submissions, approvals, rejections, and grant agreements.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and renewals.
Donor Coordination
- Act as a point of contact for donor communication related to grants.
- Support relationship management with funding partners through regular updates and follow-ups.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Finance, Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or donor reporting (preferably in NGOs or CSR).
- Proven experience in drafting successful grant proposals.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong research, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with CSR funding, government grants, and international donors.
- Understanding of NGO compliance and reporting requirements.
- Passion for social impact and development work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
