We are looking for a "Weighbridge Operator Cum Accountant" in a steel manufaturing unit holds a critical role that bridges logistics, operations, and finance by managing the entry/exit of materials, ensuring accurate weighing of raw materials (scrap, iron ore) and finished goods (TMT bars, billets), and maintaining related financial doccumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Weighbridge Responsibilities
- Accurately measure incoming raw materials (e.g., scrap, iron ore, coal) and outgoing finished goods (e.g., steel plates, TMT bars) using electronic systems.
- Check and process delivery challans, Gate Passes and vehicle invoices for inbound/outbound logistics.
- Ensure vehicles comply with weight regulations to prevent overloading and verify physical cargo matches documents.
Accounting Responsibilities
Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and verify sales invoices and invoices for dispatch based on the weight slips generated.
Stock & Inventory Management: Maintain daily records of stock movement, updating inventory levels in SAP or Tally to match physical receipts.
Accounts Receivable/Payable: Manage day-to-day accounts, including updating sales and purchase entries, and recording vendor payments.
Reconcile daily weighbridge data with accounting entries and prepare daily dispatch/raw material consumption reports.
Experience and Qualification
- Applicant must be from Durgapur or nearby area.
- Must completed higher secondary or Graduation.
- 5+ Years of experience in manufacturing industrry.
