About the Role: Neuro Nest Occupational Therapy Centre is looking for a compassionate, patient, and energetic Childcare Facilitator and Educator to join our team for our evening session. This part-time role is ideal for teachers, special educators, college students pursuing relevant degrees, or child care professionals looking for dedicated evening hours.
You will play a vital role in creating a supportive, structured, and engaging environment for children during their time at our centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement & Interaction: Facilitate and lead age-appropriate educational games, creative arts, and structured play activities that promote learning and social interaction.
- Behavior Guidance: Observe, guide, and support children during activities, ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
- Activity Coordination: Assist in setting up learning materials, managing the evening's schedule, and keeping children productively engaged.
- Communication: Coordinate closely with the clinical team to understand the unique engagement needs of each child and provide brief, positive updates to parents during pickup.
- Safety & Care: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in the activity area.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate or pursuing a degree in Education, Early Childhood Care (ECCEd), Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Special Education exposure is a strong plus).
- Experience: Previous experience working with children (in schools, tuition centres, daycare, or activity centres) is highly preferred.
- Skills: Exceptional patience, high energy, and strong communication skills.
- Languages: Fluency in Tamil is required to interact effectively with the children; basic English is preferred.
- Proximity: Ability to reliably commute to Swarnapuri Annexe, Salem for the 4:30 PM shift.
