JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our post-production team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of wedding storytelling, pacing, emotion, music synchronization, and cinematic editing techniques.
As a Video Editor at Chapter 73, you will transform raw wedding footage into compelling films that reflect our signature style and exceed client expectations.Key Responsibilities
Edit wedding films, highlights, teasers, and documentary edits using company-defined workflows and quality standards.
Review and organize footage from multiple camera sources.
Create emotionally engaging narratives from wedding day footage.
Synchronize multi-camera footage and audio recordings.
Select and integrate music that complements the story and mood of the film.
Perform color correction and basic color grading to maintain visual consistency.
Enhance audio quality through noise reduction, balancing, and mixing.
Ensure all deliverables meet project timelines and quality benchmarks.
Collaborate with cinematographers, project managers, and creative leads to maintain brand consistency.
Manage project files, backups, and editing assets efficiently.
Implement feedback and revisions accurately within turnaround timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of professional video editing experience (wedding editing experience preferred).
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Good understanding of Adobe After Effects for basic motion graphics and titles.
Experience with Adobe Audition or equivalent audio editing tools.
Knowledge of color correction and grading workflows.
Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and emotional sequencing.
Ability to work with multi-camera timelines.
Excellent attention to detail and file organization.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience editing luxury or destination weddings.
Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve workflows.
Experience working with 4K and high-resolution footage.
Understanding of wedding traditions and event timelines.
Experience editing films for international clients.
