What You’ll Actually Do (Day-to-Day)
- Work on interior design projects from concept development to on-site execution
- Translate client briefs into practical, thoughtful design solutions (not just pretty visuals)
- Develop layouts, AutoCAD drawings, material palettes, and basic 3D views
- Assist with furniture, lighting, finishes, and detailing decisions
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth execution
- Visit sites regularly, review progress, and resolve design-related issues
- Balance design intent with real-world constraints like budgets, timelines, and site conditions
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in residential and/or commercial interiors
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with SketchUp and basic rendering tools
- A good eye for materials, proportions, spatial planning, and detailing
- Ability to read drawings and communicate clearly with site teams
- Someone who listens well to clients, feedback, and the space itself
- Calm, organised, and comfortable handling multiple projects at once
Good to Have (But Not a Deal-Breaker)
- On-site experience and vendor coordination exposure
- Basic understanding of BOQs, measurements, and material specifications
- Familiarity with lighting layouts, electrical drawings, or joinery details
- Ability to put together clear client presentations
- Interest in wellness-focused, minimal, or design-led spaces
This Role Is Not for You If
- You’re only interested in making Instagram-friendly designs
- You dislike site work or vendor coordination
- You expect everything to be perfectly planned (design is messy sometimes)
