Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our technology team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, integrating data from various sources, and ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of our data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources (e.g., ERP, WMS, APIs).
- Optimize and monitor data flows for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with data analysts, software developers, and business teams to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the data lifecycle.
- Support reporting, dashboarding, and data science initiatives with clean and structured data.
- Maintain data documentation and metadata repositories.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a data engineering or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or similar is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, DBT).
- Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), especially with data services like S3, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.
- Knowledge of APIs and data integration concepts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in logistics, eCommerce, or supply chain data environments.
- Exposure to data warehousing and data modeling principles.
- Familiarity with tools like Kafka, Snowflake, or Tableau/Power BI.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployments.
