We are seeking an Industrial Designer Fresher with a passion for shaping the future of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) — systems designed for both defense and industrial use. You will work at the forefront of vehicle design, crafting compelling concepts, detailed visualisations, and digital mockups that define the look, feel, and function of UGV exteriors and modular payloads before they enter the CAD and engineering phases.
Responsibilities:
-
Develop early-stage concept sketches, ideation boards, and design explorations for UGV vehicles.
-
Produce digital mockups, visual renderings, and presentation-ready visuals using tools such as Sketchbook, SolidWorks, and Fusion 360.
-
Prepare formal design documentation, including orthographic views and annotated visuals for handoff.
-
Contribute to functional layout concepts and modular payload designs that balance aesthetics, usability, and field requirements.
-
Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
-
Creation of storyboards, UI/HMI visual concepts, or basic animation walkthroughs for internal reviews.
-
Work under the guidance of senior designers and product leads to align with product strategy.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field.
-
Strong sketching and visualisation skills — both freehand and digital.
-
Proficiency in Sketchbook, Fusion 360, and SolidWorks (basic CAD modeling only).
-
Understanding of design-to-engineering workflows and formal handoff via drawings/specs.
-
A well-organized portfolio that demonstrates:
-
Concept ideation
-
Visual storytelling
-
Mechanical or functional awareness
-
Digital mockup/rendering proficiency
