Job Summary
The Civil Purchase Engineer will be responsible for procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services required for WSS and UGD projects. The role involves vendor development, quotation analysis, purchase order preparation, cost optimization, inventory coordination, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support project execution.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Purchasing
- Procure civil construction materials, machinery, and services as per project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from multiple vendors.
- Prepare comparative statements (CS) for management approval.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order execution.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.
2. Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain vendor database and performance records.
- Establish long-term relationships with key suppliers.
3. Material Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Store Department, and Site Teams for material requirements.
- Track material consumption and future procurement needs.
- Ensure proper material availability at project sites.
- Monitor delivery schedules and logistics arrangements.
4. Cost Control & Budget Management
- Analyze market rates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure procurement within approved project budgets.
- Conduct rate comparisons and vendor evaluations.
- Support management in achieving procurement cost optimization.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, comparative statements, and purchase orders.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Verify invoices, delivery challans, and supporting documents.
- Prepare procurement reports and MIS reports.
6. Inventory & Store Coordination
- Coordinate with store personnel regarding material receipts and stock levels.
- Monitor inventory to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure proper documentation of inward and outward materials.
- Assist in stock verification and audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 1–5+ years of experience in Civil Procurement, Purchase, or Construction Material Management.
- Experience in WSS, UGD, Infrastructure, Pipeline, or Government Projects preferred.

- Knowledge of tender specifications and material standards.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
