JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join the Housekeeping Department at Hotel Le Royal Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Room Cleaning:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly according to hotel standards
- Make beds and change linens daily (fresh sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers)
- Clean bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, floors)
- Dust all surfaces (furniture, shelves, TV, phone, windowsills)
- Vacuum and mop all floors
- Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors
- Empty trash bins and replace liners
Amenities & Supplies:
- Restroom room amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, tissue)
- Restock towels, washcloths, robes, and slippers
- Replace used glasses and cups
- Refill coffee/tea supplies and minibar (if applicable)
- Ensure all room supplies are fully stocked
Maintenance & Reporting:
- Report maintenance issues (leaks, broken fixtures, electrical problems) to supervisor
- Report lost and found items immediately
- Check room for damage and report any issues
- Ensure all appliances (TV, AC, kettle, lights) are working properly
- Lock room securely after cleaning
Guest Service:
- Greet guests warmly when encountered in hallways
- Respect guest privacy (knock before entering, respect “Do Not Disturb” signs)
- Respond promptly to guest requests for extra amenities or towels
- Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
- Handle guest complaints and escalate to supervisor when needed
End-of-Shift Duties:
- Complete room cleaning checklist for all assigned rooms
- Report room status to front office/housekeeping office
- Return housekeeping cart and clean equipment
- Restock housekeeping cart for next day
- Hand over uncompleted tasks to supervisor
General Duties:
- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols
- Use cleaning chemicals properly and safely
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping closets and work areas
- Work efficiently to meet room turnover deadlines
- Assist houseman with linen transport when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- 0–2 years of experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality (entry-level acceptable)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Strong physical stamina (ability to lift up to 10–15 kg, bend, kneel, stand for long periods)
- Attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Professional appearance and grooming standards
- Fluency in Tamil and English or Hindi.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliability and punctuality
- Honest and trustworthy (handles guest property and rooms)
Preferred:
- Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality or Housekeeping Management
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping (3–4 star property)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
- Familiarity with room cleaning checklists and SOPs
