A Project Executive is responsible for end-to-end execution of water and wastewater treatment projects, including planning, installation, coordination, and commissioning. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Coordination
Understand project scope, drawings, and technical specifications
Prepare project schedules and execution plans
Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams
Track project milestones and timelines
2. Site Execution & Installation
Supervise installation of:
Civil structures (tanks, foundations)
Mechanical equipment (pumps, blowers, clarifiers)
Piping systems (HDPE, MS, PVC)
Electrical panels and instrumentation
Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings
3. Commissioning & Trial Runs
Conduct pre-commissioning checks
Oversee system startup and testing
Monitor parameters like:
Flow rate
pH, BOD, COD, TSS (for STP/ETP)
Troubleshoot operational issues
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily progress reports
Prepare commissioning reports and checklists
Ensure compliance with client and regulatory standards
Coordinate for handover documentation
5. Client & Vendor Coordination
Act as a point of contact between client and company
Coordinate with vendors for equipment supply and installation
Attend project review meetings
6. Quality & Safety Compliance
Ensure adherence to safety standards at site
Maintain quality control during installation
Follow environmental and pollution norms
Required Skills
Technical Skills
Knowledge of STP/WTP/ETP processes (like MBBR, SBR, RO, UF, etc.)
Ability to read P&ID drawings and layouts
Understanding of pumps, blowers, valves, and instrumentation
Soft Skills
Project management and coordination
Problem-solving and troubleshooting
Communication and reporting
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in:
Any Field
Experience
Typically 1–5 years in water/wastewater projects
Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also be considered
Work Environment
Mix of site work and office coordination
Frequent travel to project locations
