Job Summary
IIT Planet is looking for an experienced and hands-on HR professional to independently manage the complete employee lifecycle. The role includes hiring teachers, sales executives, counsellors, and support staff, along with payroll, employee relations, performance management, HR operations, and separation processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment and Hiring
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for teachers, sales executives, counsellors, HR, administration, and other operational roles.
- Understand manpower requirements and prepare appropriate job descriptions.
- Source candidates through job portals, social media, referrals, recruitment agencies, and local networks.
- Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, coordinate technical or demo rounds, and negotiate salaries.
- Verify candidate documents, references, qualifications, and employment history.
- Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, employment contracts, and joining documents.
- Maintain recruitment reports and ensure vacancies are filled within agreed timelines.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for frequently hired positions.
Onboarding and Employee Records
- Conduct onboarding and induction for new employees.
- Collect and verify identity, education, banking, tax, and previous-employment documents.
- Create and maintain accurate physical and digital employee records.
- Explain company policies, responsibilities, performance expectations, and workplace standards.
- Manage confirmation, transfer, promotion, salary revision, and employment-status documentation.
Payroll and Attendance
- Manage monthly payroll processing from start to finish.
- Verify attendance, leave, late arrivals, incentives, commissions, deductions, advances, and unpaid leave.
- Coordinate salary calculations for teaching, sales, and support teams.
- Prepare and verify payroll statements and salary slips.
- Coordinate statutory deductions and compliance requirements, including PF, ESI, professional tax, TDS, bonus, and gratuity, wherever applicable.
- Resolve employee payroll and attendance queries promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all compensation information.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Manage daily HR administration and ensure smooth implementation of HR policies.
- Develop and update policies relating to attendance, leave, conduct, performance, incentives, discipline, and separation.
- Maintain employee databases, leave records, attendance reports, payroll files, and statutory registers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labour and employment laws.
- Coordinate with management, finance, legal advisers, and external consultants when required.
- Prepare HR reports covering headcount, vacancies, attendance, attrition, payroll, and employee performance.
Performance and Employee Relations
- Establish measurable performance goals and KPIs for teachers, sales employees, counsellors, and support teams.
- Coordinate probation reviews, performance appraisals, promotions, salary revisions, and performance-improvement plans.
- Monitor employee conduct, productivity, attendance, and workplace behaviour.
- Address employee complaints, conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary concerns fairly and confidentially.
- Support managers with coaching, feedback, warnings, and corrective-action processes.
- Organize employee engagement, training, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Separation and Termination
- Manage resignations, notice periods, handovers, exit interviews, and employee clearance.
- Handle disciplinary action and termination processes professionally, consistently, and in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Conduct or coordinate fair investigations before recommending disciplinary action.
- Prepare warning letters, show-cause notices, termination letters, relieving letters, and experience certificates.
- Coordinate full-and-final settlements, recovery of company property, access removal, and closure of employee records.
- Maintain complete and confidential documentation for every separation decision.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience managing recruitment, payroll, HR operations, and employee relations.
- Experience hiring teachers and sales professionals is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Indian payroll practices and employment compliance.
- Experience using job portals, HRMS, attendance systems, Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Strong interviewing, negotiation, documentation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with maturity.
- Capable of working independently and coordinating directly with senior management.
