Job Purpose
To train and develop hotel management students in Front Office Operations, ensuring they gain strong theoretical knowledge, practical skills, professional grooming, communication skills, and industry-ready capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Training
- Conduct classes on Front Office Operations and Hotel Management.
- Explain hotel front office procedures, standards, and terminology.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises, and training materials.
- Teach topics such as:
- Reservation procedures
- Check-in and check-out
- Guest registration
- Telephone etiquette
- Concierge services
- Guest handling
- Room status and coordination
- Billing and cashiering
- Complaint handling
- Night audit procedures
- PMS (Property Management System) operations
- Practical Training
- Conduct practical sessions in the Front Office Training Lab.
- Train students in mock check-in/check-out procedures.
- Conduct role plays for guest interaction and complaint handling.
- Train students in professional telephone and email communication.
- Demonstrate hotel front office documentation and procedures.
- Student Development
- Develop students' communication and interpersonal skills.
- Train students in grooming, etiquette, body language, and professional behavior.
- Prepare students for hotel internships and placements.
- Provide career guidance and industry knowledge.
- Monitor students' attendance, discipline, performance, and practical skills.
- Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct class tests, practical examinations, assignments, presentations, and viva.
- Evaluate students' theoretical and practical performance.
- Maintain student assessment records.
- Provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Industry Exposure
- Coordinate with hotels for industrial visits, internships, and training.
- Invite hotel industry professionals for guest lectures and workshops.
- Keep students updated with current hotel industry practices and standards.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance records, practical records, and examination documents.
- Participate in college events, seminars, workshops, and placement activities.
- Coordinate with other faculty members for academic activities.
- Support the department in curriculum and training development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management.
- Relevant Front Office experience in the hotel industry is preferred.
- Teaching/training experience will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of hotel Front Office Operations and PMS software.

- Good command of English and preferably Hindi/local language.

Experience
Preferred: 1–5 years of experience in Front Office Operations, hotel training, or teaching in a Hotel Management Institute.
